Lovechop 1991 - Growing up in a tiny outta the way place known as Startup, WA, finding new rad n rockin tunes weren't near as easy as it is today. Shit like this was just fuckin gold. A copy given to me by one of the Pallo clan, I listened to this countless times and it was one of the albums that inspired me to pick up a guitar in the first place. Somewhere between metal and punk, I find this record just as fun to listen to today as it was the better part of 30 years ago. The added track is great and feels like it should've been there the whole time. This was my first chance to buy a new copy instead of finding it in 2nd hand stores where it looked like people may have used it as a coaster or a frisbee. Fuckin rad album - thnx for making this available again \m/ Favorite track: Dead Water Bunny.

“every scene has that one genius band that never gets beyond headlining local festivals and gigs, and Slam Suzzanne appears to have been one of Seattle’s better punk bands. Never too late to check ‘em out, my friends…” The Recoup

Rock*Roll Experience Bob Suehs says: This record is a re-release and the music is straight up metal with a touch o’ punk infused. “No Food” has a guitar riff that’s a straight up Black Sabbath rip off but the tone isn't as thick as Sabbath. In the bands defense what metal guitar riff isn't a slight rip off of Black Sabbath in some way? Loud, fast & always cracking jokes, Slam Suzzanne were a band who’s music was created with a sense of humor ala Mucky Pup & Psychostick. It’s a shame this band never went further than they did because they wrote some goofy yet catchy songs & when they sing “It hurts when I pee” in “Perforated Condom” you realize the genius in this band *sic* .

about

Here at GMR we like to focus whenever possible on long term planning. Which is why just a couple-three weeks ago we decided it was time to re-release Sam Suzzanne – On the Floor With Your Mom. This album is a legendary piece of the Green Monkey cannon. Originally released in 1991 (our first CD, who can imagine) these guys were absolutely over top as a live monster. 100% rock. Punk. Thrash. Whatever. Lyrics that are both hilarious and socially relevant, speaking to the inner child in us all. They like to say f*ck. Oh my. Of course they do. And who doesn’t nowadays. So now is the time and this is the day.

Four years ago when we released The Anthology, Slam played several shows. They were terrifying. They were sublime. They were value laden. Perhaps you shall see them again. Perhaps not. So enjoy this. It is beautiful.
