I’ve a little stash of euros left
They’ll see me through the heat
And the donkey still brays crazy high above our street
But I miss your gold hair
Blowing into gypsy eyes
Back before your falling leaves and autumn skies
And I know I really oughta
Catch the bus por la mañana
But the moon over Granada whispers, “stay”
Do you ever miss the laughter
Us drinking our wine too fast
Not as much I guess as the promise of your past
And I know I really oughta
Catch the bus por la mañana
But the moon over Granada whispers, “stay”
For another day
Just one more day
Then another
As I walk the river now
I see the lovers kiss
And I never dreamed Id feel as old as this
And I loved your little smile
Way back where the air is crisp
But in the end I come to terms with what I miss
And I know I really oughta…

Julie arrives, the stars still shine in the sky
He’s in the cafe today, she catches his eye
And in between the bags and luggage she wanders his way
Over and over the hours and hours all day
At the one-man-scanner station
For the security of the whole nation
Where danger is just an x-ray away
They smile through the hundred strangers waiting for trains
Julie never losing track of the threat that remains
At the one-man-scanner station...
His girl wears a uniform, high-heel boots and a hat
And he likes her like that, he likes her like that
Night comes to Juliana, in a fine spring rain
Living in Antequera, she doesn’t complain
He’s there at the top of the hill where he said he would be
He comes in Juliana, she’s weak in the knee
Above the one-man-scanner station
For the security of the whole nation
Where desire is just an x-ray away

Yet another gem from The Green Pajamas. Excellent song progression keeps me listening right to the end. True to the bands Psych roots with edgy guitar and instrumental hi-jinks, the lyrics transport me to past memories and travels, real and imagined. There is a story book quality to each album and Sunlight Might Weigh Even More delivers again. James DayWalker
